Wow, What a Year! Thank you for your Support…

Well, what a year it has been, with celebrations, anniversary’s and an unprecedented number of great Games too.In June we joyfully celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Istanbul Corporate Games before concluding this years Games calendar by celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Australian Corporate Games last weekend.Along the way we had the pleasure of witnessing brand new Corporate Games in a host of spectacular destinations like Abu Dhabi, Bermuda, Bucharest, Cape Town, Delhi, Manila and Mexico. As ever, terrific Games were staged in Sydney, Brisbane and Thredbo. We enjoyed continued success with the UK Corporate Games in Preston, the 5th World Corporate Cup of Soccer at Anfield (home of Liverpool FC) as well as inaugural editions of the Bucharest Corporate Cup of Soccer and the Europe Corporate Cup of Tennis.I am sure you will agree that 2012 has been a wonderful year for everyone involved, with more opportunities provided than ever before.All of these Games and More will be made available for you to enter next year, as well as the breathtaking 19th UK Corporate Games in the heart of England in Coventry, the 1st Buenos Aires Corporate Games, as well as first editions of the Annecy-le- Vieux Corporate Games in France and the Transylvanian Winter Corporate Games in Dracula’s homeland early in February. We are also delighted to confirm that the World Corporate Cup of Soccer will be returning to Anfield at the start of June, as the hospitality and access granted to us by Liverpool Football Club is truly exceptional, enabling us to deliver another unparalleled experience with everyone playing at least one match on the Hallowed turf!.

British Ambassador Romania supports Corporate Games @ Bucharest

We were honoured by Mr Martin Harris, the British Ambassador for Romania, who attended the Official Launch and press conference last week.

Mr Harris made a speech to over 180 delegates from the corporate community.

After his speech he confirmed that the British Embassy will be entering teams into the event next year and looks forward to working with Corporate Games Bucharest 2012  to make this a big success.

The Official Launch of the Corporate Games Bucharest 2012  took place at The Pullman Hotel on the 4th of October 2011.

It was well attended, with over 150 representatives from major corporations in Romania.

Ms Elisabeta Lipa, the Official Patron of the Games and the most decorated rower in the history of the Olympics, winner of five gold, two silver and one bronze medal officially launched the Corporate Games to be held in Bucharest, Romania, in 2012.

Other speakers and supporters of the Games included Mr Martin Harris (British Ambassador Romania) and Mr Cedric Fevre (CEO World Corporate Games) who flew in from Dubai to be at the event, as well as Ms Monica Iagar (Sports director of Corporate Games in Bucharest) and Mr Martin Verhagen (President of the Corporate Games in Bucharest).

This will be the largest Multi-Sport corporate competition ever to be seen in Romania. Participating sponsors like World Trade Centre Bucharest, Ancarda, The Pullman Hotel, Cariere, TAROM Airlines, IDM Club, Dinamo, British Embassy and Heineken were at the launch.

Mr Martin Verhagen said he is “very pleased with the launch and the response from the corporate market that understand the benefits of the games in respect to Staff Moral, Motivation, Networking Opportunities, Social and health. We have already received confirmation of over 500 competitors and is expecting 1000’s of competitors in the 12 sports in May next year.”

Games in Bucharest sign 3 year deal with Ancarda

Ancarda, manufacturer of Sports clothing, have been awarded the supply contract for all the uniforms for the staff, management, officials and referee’s for the Corporate Games Bucharest 2012.

The Contract has been awarded for a three year period and we are looking to develop a very strong relationship over this time.

They have also agreed to become an Official Sponsor of the Games and are looking forward to entering a number of teams to compete in May 2012.

Tarom Airlines appointed Official Airline Partner

After extensive negotiations, and interest from three major airlines, Corporate Games Bucharest 2012 is pleased to announce Tarom Airlines have been awarded the title of Official Airline Partner for the Corporate Games in Bucharest, Romania, for 2012.

This is a perfect match with Tarom’s corporate clients and will also create great exposure for the Corporate Games within Bucharest.

The Corporate Games will feature in their Inflight magazine from January to April 2012 with a readership base of over 100,000 per month. The Corporate Games Video will also feature on all flights around the world promoting Tarom as the Official Airline Partner for the Bucharest Games.

World Trade Centre becomes Official Sponsor of the Games


World Trade Centre in Bucharest, Romania, has signed a sponsorship agreement with Corporate Games to host the SuperCentre for the Corporate Games Bucharest 2012.

The Games, which will be run over 4 days in May 2012, will host 1000’s of participants and all will register at the SuperCentre and will receive promotions and gifts from the Games Sponsors.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Corporate Games in Romania, Mr Radu Radulescu, said that it is a perfect match to have the Official Hotel and the SuperCentre in the same location.

The World Trade centre will also be entering participants into the Games in May next year.

Pullman Hotel Appointed as Official Hotel Partner Corporate Games Bucharest


Corporate Games is pleased to announce that The Pullman Hotel has been awarded the title of Official Hotel Partner for the Corporate Games Bucharest 2012.

After a detailed tender bidding process involving 10 competing hotels, The Pullman hotel beat all the other competition and was awarded the Games for 2012.

President of the Corporate Games in Bucharest, Mr Martin Verhagen, was delighted to award the contract to the Pullman Hotel. “Their professionalism, location to the sporting venues and facilities offered by The Pullman was a key factor in awarding contract. They understood the concept of the Games and how it would benefit not only them but Bucharest as a whole and were keen to be associated with such a high profile event.”, he said.

The Pullman Hotel are looking forward to working with the companies and providing them with their accommodation and function facilities before , during and after the Games. It must be stressed that The Pullman will be sold out very quickly for this event and early bookings and registration is recommended to avoid disappointment.
