DESCRIPTION

Lancaster University opened a £20m Sports Centre in 2011, featuring the very latest in top of the range sporting facilities.

Facilities include a 25 metre Swimming Pool with 8 lanes - including a ‘floating floor' which can vary the depth of the pool, Climbing Wall & Bouldering Cave which has been specially designed with input from renowned mountaineer and university Chancellor Sir Chris Bonington, Health & Fitness Suites including a high-performance Strength & Conditioning Room, Sauna & Steam Rooms, Sports Hall with 8 Badminton Courts, 4 Squash Courts, outdoor changing facilities for field games, and a Fishing Lake at Forrest Hills. There is also a state-of-the art, 100 station gym.

Lancaster University have 2 courts on campus and will host the mixed Netball event. The Women's event will be held at Lancaster & Morecambe College (please refer to the other Netball venue page for details).
