The Stadium

In 1892 John Houlding founded the iconic UK Liverpool Football Club at Anfield and today it’s one of the best supported clubs in the world.  It boasts a following of over 580 million followers with over 270 fan group branches in 88 countries worldwide.

With five European Cups, three UEFA Cups, 18 League Titles, seven FA Cups and eight League Cups, Liverpool will always be one of the biggest clubs in the country.

Despite its newly extended stadium, seating 54,000, the club is already making plans to increase its capacity to 60,000 in the near future to make it the second largest football stadium in the UK.

One of Liverpool’s most influential managers was Bill Shankly who transformed the club from a Second Division team to the winners of three First Division Championships, two FA Cups and four Charity Shields 

Other legendary Liverpool players have included Bob Paisley, Steven Gerard, Michael Owen, Danny Dalglish, John Barnes, Luis Suarez, Robbie Fowler, Kevin Keegan and finest striker the club has ever seen, Ian Rush who appeared 668 times and scored 346 goals, making him the greatest goal scorer for the club.
